The role:

The role of Graduate Architect – Health Facilities is a key component to the success of our project team. Working alongside the Project Architect or Project Leader, you will be able to develop a deep knowledge health facilities.

You will use your technical skills to develop high quality floor plans and building models in Revit. Your ability to develop 3D imagery (Rhino, Enscape or similar) will help communicate project intent to our clients.

You will take accountability for project deliverables, with an eye to detail and attention for coordination that will produce accurate drawings and schedules which incorporate all feedback provided.

As a dedicated health design firm, Destravis offers you a pathway to grow an expertise in the sector; understanding the Australian Health Facility Guidelines and other codes of relevance, along with the salutogenic design principles that help create an environment of rehabilitation and recovery.

Responsibilities:

- Attend design team meetings, taking notes for action to create and update deliverables





- Produce documentation in Revit, including floor plans, room layout sheets and building models

- Produce room data sheets and room layout sheets, utilising dRofus where applicable

- Produce 3D graphics

- Maintain project schedules such as: decision matrix, issues matrix, departure schedules, change requests, etc.,

- Develop diagrams depicting various overlays, e.g. sun shading, orientation, access etc.

- Input into design reports and other text deliverables for clients

- Coordination of documentation and information between dRofus and Revit

- Participate and support documentation process and document control

- Utilise Aconex or other similar web-based document control portals for project communication.

Reports:
Graduate Architect report to Project Lead and Design Director.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. architecture, interior design, building design)

- Knowledge and understanding of the Australasian Health Facility

- Guidelines with attention to standard components RLS and RDS

- Experience with documentation control, construction documentation and contract administration experience desirable.

- Knowledge and understanding of the National Construction Code.

Capabilities:

- Professional, knowledgeable manner with clients and colleagues

- High level oral and written language skills

- High level capability in Revit and BIM

- Capability with Enscape, Rhino or other 3D graphics software

- High level capability in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint

- Understanding of documentation process and control

- Time management skills to effectively meet project deadlines.
