Role Overview
As a Trainee Buyer, you will support the procurement team in sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring goods are purchased cost-effectively and delivered on time. This is an excellent chance for someone looking to start a career in buying and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
- Support price comparisons and cost analysis
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation
- Track deliveries and resolve supply issues
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory planning
- Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal departments
What We’re Looking For
- A strong interest in procurement, buying, or supply chain
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- A degree (or working towards one) in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field is advantageous
