The Vet Group has 5 practices and operates on the eastern seaboard as well as New Zealand and opportunities for animal lovers are endless.

Some recent changes within our clinical operations team at the Portland Clinic has provided us with the opportunity to establish a current role on a 12 month fixed term basis.

At our Portland Clinic, we work on a lot of interesting cases including native wildlife (koalas, wallabies, reptiles and raptors, birds, sea animals and even echidnas) and days are varied in this mixed Practice. Owned and operated by skilled Vets, you will enjoy being valued, trusted as working partners to our clinical team of vets and nurses.

Reporting to the Hub Manager (Portland/Heywood) the role is based in our Portland Clinic.

Working on a part-time basis, up to 32 hours per week hours, worked between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, the role is responsible for ensuring the day to day operations and running of the clinic is seamless and efficient.

Key activities include:

- Undertake reception and front of house duties including presentation of retail space and general hygiene of the Clinic;

- Assist with weekly cycle counts and inventory stock levels are maintained in accordance with Clinic guidelines;





- Assist Hub Manager with co-ordinating nurse team and support staff on a daily basis and oversee the operational delivery of gold standard patient care;

- Assist with timesheets and rostering as delegated from time to time, including Ezyvet shading and planning;

- Complete invoice audits and monitor accuracy of billing and client accounts including processing vet pay and GAP insurance if required; and

- End-of-Day reconciliation and banking, and End-of-Month routine tasks.

You will:

As a newly defined role, you will have the ability to shape the role to focus on your key strengths and develop sustainable systems and processes.

For the successful candidate, on the job training will be provided. Experience or a qualification in nursing would be advantageous, and /or demonstrated experience in a business co-ordinator role.
