About the Role

We are continuing to invest in our people, systems, and processes and are now offering two opportunities to join the Lotus Engineering Team, working at the intersection of manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement.

These roles form part of our Engineering Development Program, providing engineers with exposure to a diverse range of engineering experiences across production, quality, and operations over time.

Candidates must have Australian work rights.

Production Engineer

This is a hands‑on, factory‑based role focused on embedding Lean Production principles and implementing Quality at Source across all production work centres. You will work closely with production teams to ensure quality is built into the process, improve flow, reduce rework, and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead day‑to‑day quality coordination and resolution of production quality issues

- Implement Quality at Source, driving ownership of quality at the point of manufacture

- Apply Lean tools and problem‑solving to improve quality, delivery, and efficiency

- Manage NCR/PMCR documentation and quality compliance

- Translate design intent into practical manufacturing outcomes

- Apply engineering expertise to product improvements

- Analyse production and quality data to support improvement initiatives

Specifying Engineer





This role focuses on producing accurate engineering documentation that enables the factory to build right‑first‑time. You will work closely with sales, project teams, production, and engineering to ensure specifications align with quoted scope, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate factory cutting sheets and production documentation

- Ensure specifications match quotes and approved variations

- Communicate with production, sales, and project teams to manage priorities

- Raise and manage purchase orders for required materials

- Produce drawings and documentation for non‑standard or one‑off projects

- Support production through clear, timely, and accurate engineering information

- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and specifying processes
