Australian Portable Camps (APC) is a leading Australian provider of modular accommodation, remote camps, and supporting services to major infrastructure, mining, and energy projects nationwide. With manufacturing operations based in Monarto and active FIFO projects across Australia, we are seeking a highly organised Management Co-ordinator to support senior leadership and ensure smooth operational coordination across the business.The Information Management Coordinator designs, implements and maintains information and records management systems and processes to ensure data is accurate, secure, discoverable and compliant with statutory, regulatory and business requirements. The role coordinates information lifecycle activities across teams, supports information governance frameworks, and drives continual improvement in how information is created, stored, accessed and disposed. Key responsibilities

- Implement and maintain records and information management policies, procedures and retention schedules in line with legal, regulatory and industry requirements.
- Coordinate the capture, classification, indexing and storage of digital and physical records to ensure consistent metadata and retrieval practices.
- Manage the information lifecycle: creation, version control, access management, archival, transfer and secure disposal.
- Support deployment and configuration of information systems (DMS/EDRMS, ECM, SharePoint, collaboration platforms) and ensure user adoption and compliance.
- Maintain access controls,



security classifications and data handling procedures; liaise with IT/security to address vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Provide training, guidance and documentation to staff on information management practices, metadata standards and search/use best practice.
- Respond to internal and external information requests (e.g., FOI, discovery, audits) and coordinate timely, accurate disclosures.
- Support records audits, compliance reviews and reporting; prepare metrics and dashboards on information quality, compliance and system usage.
- Coordinate with business units, legal, compliance, IT and vendors for system improvements, integrations and migrations.
- Identify opportunities to automate metadata capture, classification and retention workflows; support information architecture projects and data migration activities.
- Maintain inventories of critical records and ensure continuity planning for essential information assets.
- Skills and competencies
- Knowledge of records and information management principles, metadata standards (e.g., ISO 15489), retention and disposal practices.
- Understanding of privacy, FOI, archival and relevant legislative/regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency with document/content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, TRIM/HPTRIM, OpenText, Alfresco)



and search/indexing tools.
- Solid IT literacy: familiarity with databases, enterprise search, basic scripting or automation tools (Power Automate, PowerShell) and integration concepts.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proven ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and training skills; ability to translate governance requirements into transparent user guidance.
- Analytical mindset with ability to produce compliance reports and KPIs.

Qualifications and experience

- Tertiary qualification in information management, records management, library/information science, information systems, or related discipline preferred.
- Professional certification desirable (e.g., Cert IV/GradCert in Records & Information Management, CRM, CIP, AIIM credentials).
- Typically 2–5 years’ relevant experience in records/information management, compliance, or a related role; experience in enterprise DMS implementations strongly preferred.
- Experience working with legal, compliance and IT stakeholders and managing information governance projects.
