Step into a high-impact role as Manager, Group Strategy and help shape the future of one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest insurers. You’ll influence Board-level decisions, lead strategic projects, and turn complex challenges into actionable insights that drive IAG’s long-term direction. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Group Strategy and CFO Operations, you’ll work at the heart of critical conversations, gain exposure to senior leadership, and make decisions that matter. You’ll also lead a small team, including one Specialist, while developing strategies that respond to market shifts and emerging opportunities. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

What You’ll Do

- Lead strategic projects to address key challenges for the Group.
- Develop strategic options that respond to market shifts, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities.
- Translate external trends and insights into clear, actionable strategies.
- Facilitate high-impact conversations and provide thought leadership across the organisation.
- Manage governance and alignment of strategic projects with corporate priorities.




- Drive the Finance Leadership Team’s strategic agenda and influence Board-level decisions.
- Lead and develop a small team, including one Specialist, ensuring collaboration and delivery of quality outputs.

What You’ll Bring

- Proven relevant business experience.
- Strong critical and strategic thinking with proven structured problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to deliver original solutions to complex problems through lateral thinking.
- Experience leading cross‑functional projects and managing senior stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and constructive challenge.
- Strong financial acumen and strategic analysis skills; experience in strategy consulting or digital/customer‑led organisations is preferred.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
