We have three specialist and emergency hospitals (Stafford, North Lakes) with our newest hospital on the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking an experienced Nurse to join our dynamic Ophthalmology team, with opportunities available on either a part-time or full-time basis at our Stafford hospital.

Ophthalmology Nurse – Stafford

About The Role

Step into specialist ophthalmology and grow your skills. You will gain experience in advanced eye health assessments, assist in surgeries and provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care. You will also develop your knowledge in treatments, chronic disease management and client education while working alongside leading ophthalmologists in a supportive and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

- Provide advanced eye health assessments and assist in ophthalmic procedures.
- Support anaesthesia monitoring and perioperative care with the specialist team.
- Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative nursing care and client education.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, nurses and technicians to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Veterinary Nursing. General Practice nurses welcome to apply. Our team of highly trained nurses and technicians are passionate about teaching.
- Confidence in anaesthesia monitoring. Our specialist anaesthesia team and highly trained nurses/techs are ready to support you through this next step in your career in specialist nursing.
