About QVS And Pet ER

Queensland Veterinary Specialist (QVS) is Australia’s longest established, privately owned 24/7 specialist group. We treat every pet as a cherished member of the family, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. We have three Specialist and Emergency hospitals currently in Stafford and North Lakes, with our newest hospital in the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Location: Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. Employment type: Full‑time.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to guide our Client Services team and be the welcoming face of our busy, multidisciplinary veterinary hospitals.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will oversee operations at our Sunshine Coast hospital. You will lead a passionate team and ensure every pet owner enjoys an exceptional experience. As part of our 24/7 hospital network, you will lead a rotating roster with shifts scheduled between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead our client services team to deliver an exceptional experience for every pet owner and keep reception running smoothly.
- Coordinate and delegate communications and bookings, ensuring efficiency across our busy hospital.
- Be the go‑to for escalations, resolving queries and supporting our clinical team with clear, timely updates.




- Oversee key admin and financial processes, from payments to insurance claims, with accuracy and care.
- Inspire and mentor your team, fostering a positive culture and leading by example every day.

Requirements

- A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service across the business.
- Proven ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail with clear and qualified communication, both written and verbal.
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast‑paced reception role.

Highly Desirable

- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception position.
- Experience using a practice management system, ideally EzyVet.
- Emergency triage experience.
