Powering Skills Organisation is a Jobs and Skills Council for the Energy, Gas and Renewables sector funded by the Australian Government and managed by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
We are one of ten Jobs & Skills Councils established to address skills shortages and training structures. At Powering Skills Organisation our focus is across the energy sector, focusing on electricity, renewables and gas.
We are on a journey to enhance the energy sector's skills and training landscape, creating lasting impact and meaningful change for the industry and the broader community.
About the role
We are seeking a detail-driven and proactive Governance & Compliance Officer to support and strengthen our governance framework and ensure compliance across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, Boards, and Committees, you will help ensure PSO meets its legislative, regulatory, contractual, and internal policy obligations while embedding strong governance practices.
About You
- Formal qualification in Governance, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a governance, compliance, or risk role
- A strong understanding of governance principles and regulatory compliance, with exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of sector-specific regulatory or funding environments, ideally within the NFP and/or government sectors
- Experience working with Boards and Committees
