Our client has been servicing the tiling and flooring industry for over 50 years and operates a small, close-knit warehouse team of six, supported by admin and sales teams located next door. The culture is collaborative, positive, and down-to-earth where everyone pitches in together.

You’ll work with a wide range of products, including tiling tools and accessories, cutters, shop displays and promotional items, and flooring fixings, serving a large and diverse customer base.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Warehouse Leader who loves being on the floor, building a strong team, and keeping operations running smoothly.

You’ll be the go-to person on site, setting the tone for how the warehouse runs day to day, while keeping things practical, organised, and customer-focused.

The Role

- You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the Team, maintaining a strong safety-first culture, and ensuring everyone on site (staff, contractors, visitors) follows procedures and reports issues.
- You’ll run monthly toolbox talks, follow up on any incidents or near misses, keep documentation up to date, and liaise closely with head office on all OH&S; matters.




- You’ll attend quarterly national safety meetings and make sure anything raised on site doesn’t fall into the “we’ll get to it later” basket.
- From an operational point of view, you’ll lead the warehouse team to hit their KPIs- things like inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, pallet control, scanning and compliance. You’ll be hands-on with stocktakes, variance analysis, receipting stock and returns, managing pick slips, and keeping reporting accurate and on time.
- You’ll be the main contact for freight providers, coordinating inbound and outbound transport and ensuring Chain of Responsibility compliance.
- Training and development are a core part of this role, including assessing competency, conducting performance reviews, and helping build a capable, accountable team that understands what good looks like.

Who we are looking for

- Has around 3 years working in a warehouse/distribution environment or similar, in a team leader or leadership role.
- Forklift license Required (High reach preferable but not essential)
- Pronto ERP system experience would be advantageous.
- Has worked in an operational environment.
- Demonstrable success in building and managing teams.
- Strong people leadership and team-building skills.
- Positive mindset with a genuine focus on culture.
- Comfortable leading from the front in a hands-on environment.
- Enjoys monthly team BBQ’s and happy taking a turn at the grill.
