Principal Systems Analyst (Brisbane)

Provide expert leadership and technical support to design, document, configure, build, test, and implement business solutions that meet health service needs, including validation, UAT, change management, and delivery of efficient functional specifications aligned to business requirements.

What you'll do

Provide expert technical leadership to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effective use of business-critical data and systems, delivering timely and reliable information aligned with best-practice design, development, and delivery frameworks. This includes leading system change assessments, risk evaluation, solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Surgery Connect products, while providing guidance on data limitations and opportunities.

The role also requires strong written and verbal communication to translate complex information into explicit, actionable insights, effective project leadership in collaboration with the Surgery Connect leadership team, and the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ongoing awareness of emerging tools, industry trends, and adherence to Queensland Health values, governance, and administrative requirements underpin all responsibilities.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:
extensive 'Service Now' experience including system management or experience in supporting similar systems.
high proficiency in Business Intelligence tools including Excel, Qlik, SQL.
recent experience in leading system design and deployment including build, test and deploy.
proven high level knowledge and understanding of reporting and data analytics within a health-related environment.
