About the role

Our Global Customer Support team is seeking a Service Engineer to support our regional and worldwide customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within navigation, propulsion control systems and remote vessel operations. This role involves providing remote guidance and product support to our customers, as well as being part of a knowledge pool that offers back-end support to our field service team.

What you'll be doing

- Provide customer support, commissioning, and service for Kongsberg Maritime K-Bridge/K-Nav systems across Oceania, maintaining strong client relationships.

- Perform maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on AutoChief , K-Chief and K-Bridge systems.

- Produce service reports, update drawings, maintain cable databases, and manage related technical documentation.

- Deliver remote product support to customers and backend assistance to the service team.

- Support sales with technical input and handle pre and post-work administration, and other ad-hoc duties

What we're looking for

- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience with ship navigation, communication, control and vessel automation systems.

- Maritime, shipping or offshore oil & gas field experience is beneficial.

- Strong general knowledge of computer and network systems.

- Proficient written and spoken English.

- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.





- Willing and prepared to support customers internationally, particularly within APAC.

- Familiarity with Kongsberg Maritime products and remote vessel operations is an advantage.

- Careful, structured approach to handling remote support cases.

- Self-motivated and solution-focused approach to problem solving.

- Strong customer-service mindset with patience and professionalism.

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Willing to travel overseas on short notice.
