An established enterprise is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to provide oversight and governance for the successful delivery of complex, multi-million-dollar transformation programmes. This role is accountable for enabling strong programme controls at scale, ensuring alignment to evolving business priorities, and optimising resources, timelines, and outcomes.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing PMO function that drives delivery excellence, supports programme leadership, and embeds sustainable capability across the organisation.
PMO Lead - Enterprise Transformation Programmes
Key Objectives
- Drive strategic delivery excellence Lead PMO oversight across all programme phases, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and within budget — with clear line-of-sight from programme outcomes to project execution.
- Embed enterprise PMO standards and capability Build and uplift a scalable PMO framework underpinned by strong governance, delivery methodologies, and performance metrics, while accelerating maturity and enabling repeatable delivery outcomes.
- Build and inspire a high-performing PMO function Develop a results-oriented PMO culture, enabling project and programme leaders through coaching, cadence, and consistent governance — positioning the PMO as a centre of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrated programme planning: Own the integrated programme plan (critical path, milestones, resourcing strategy, PMO deliverables), ensuring alignment to long-term business strategy.
- Scope and delivery governance:
Establish scope baselines and ensure alignment between business priorities and agreed scope; support optimisation to drive timely, value-based delivery.
- Governance, reporting, and assurance: Design and run governance forums and reporting rhythms; own delivery assurance, budget oversight, executive reporting, and decision support for steering groups.
- Risk, issue, and dependency management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks; manage dependencies and resource constraints to protect delivery momentum and business operations.
- Leadership and capability uplift: Lead, mentor, and develop PMO capability; embed best practice and knowledge transfer to strengthen long-term internal delivery maturity.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience leading PMO functions across large-scale enterprise transformations
- Strong command of programme delivery tools, governance structures, and delivery methodologies
- Confident stakeholder engagement across multiple business units and senior leaders
- Able to operate effectively in fast-moving, high-change environments
- Strong executive reporting, facilitation, and presentation capability
- Strategic problem-solving mindset with strong root-cause analysis and risk mitigation skills
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Project/Programme qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree (desirable)
