About the role

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Affairs Advisor to support information flow across our organisation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with our strategic plan.

The Internal Communications Advisor will deliver clear, timely and effective communication that keeps staff and members informed and aligned. You’ll work closely with Regional Services Managers (RSMs), Policy, Workplace Relations, Membership, and senior leaders.

This role is ideal for an organised communicator with a sharp eye for detail who understands the importance of consistent, high quality messaging.

Key Responsibilities

- Content review, approval and process compliance
- Review and approve Member Alerts, RSM emails, Workplace Relations and Policy communications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with organisational messaging.
- Ensure all internal communications comply with the NSW Farmers Style Guide and established Communications processes.
- Risk and issue escalation
- Identify emerging issues, ambiguities or risks in communications that may affect member sentiment, organisational reputation, or policy outcomes.
- Escalate issues proactively to the Head of Communications / Communications Director.
- Content development and repurposing
- Repurpose content from committees, branches, member alerts, submissions and reports for broader internal distribution.
- Draft, edit and refine written materials including internal updates, FAQs, staff announcements and leadership messages.




- Digital and web management
- Upload and maintain accurate and timely content on the NSW Farmers website, ensuring member relevant information is easy to find.
- Support improvement of content sharing across digital platforms.
- Under direction of the Head of Communications / Communications Director, prepare and publish social media posts that support internal campaigns, events, and organisational priorities.
- General internal communications
- Support a consistent organisational voice across internal channels including email, Sharepoint, Teams and internal briefings.
- Contribute to cross team planning that enhances internal understanding of NSW Farmers’ priorities, campaigns, and advocacy efforts.

About You

To Excel in this role, you will have:

- Strong written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven experience reviewing and refining content.
- Ability to balance multiple requests and work across teams with diplomacy and clarity.
- Familiarity with digital content platforms and basic web publishing.
- A proactive mindset with an ability to identify risks and escalate appropriately.
- Experience in communications within advocacy, agriculture, government, policy or member based organisations (desirable).
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
