Role
As a Fire Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for testing, inspecting & maintaining a broad range of Essential Safety Systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, relevant Australian standards, the National Construction Code (NCC) and local statutory requirements.
Compensation
$40 - $50 hourly based off experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and inspect wet, dry and passive fire systems.
- Provide solutions for reported faults and defects.
- Adhere to client sign‑in procedures.
- Commit to safe work practices.
- Upskill and learn new systems.
- Represent the company well.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in the testing & inspection of wet, dry and passive fire systems.
- Experience in testing the following as per AS1851: Portable Fire Extinguishers, Fire blankets, Hydrants, Hose reels, Fire panels, Sprinkler systems and associated Fire Pump sets, Water tanks, Fire Doors,
Emergency and Exit lighting systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in fire protection inspection, testing, maintenance.
- Working knowledge of AS 1851.
- Ability to work independently on site and manage assigned tasks using Uptick.
- White Card.
- Valid manual driver’s licence.
- Strong fault and defect finding skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices.
- Willingness to upskill and learn current systems.
- Presentable and represent the company well.
About the Role
The Successful applicant will join a dedicated preventative maintenance division supported by 5 highly skilled repair divisions. Pay rates negotiated based off proven experience.
