About the Opportunity
This is an exciting role that provides opportunity to work across a diverse stakeholder group at all levels within the health system to drive better outcomes for cancer patients. In this role, you will drive the delivery of system improvement program strategies, lead the program’s contribution to the evidence base, and engage and collaborate within the Cancer Institute NSW and with key external stakeholders.
The role provides leadership over system priorities and complex programs designed to support NSW cancer services, consumers and key cancer organisations by collaborating, designing, implementing and evaluating key projects and initiatives with a focus of addressing inequities in outcomes, reduce the impact of cancer on our communities and improve survival as outlined in the NSW Cancer Plan.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health and relevant understanding and experience working within the NSW Health system or other health systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects across cancer services.
- Demonstrated experience, to successfully deliver on strategic priorities against a statewide plan and manage competing issues to deliver high quality outcomes within required deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience managing an experienced team with specialised skillsets.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
