This is an exciting full‑time permanent prospect to join a market leader where you’ll be able to showcase your technical product and project management expertise in the commercial hot water category.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyse market trends driven by consumers, competitors (domestic & global) and government bodies.
- Identify and validate market opportunities alongside key stakeholders, including new channels, new products, new markets, and ongoing existing product upgrades and improvements.
- Strategically manage the supply base with a short‑medium‑long term plan.
- Produce reports, strategic category plans and business cases as required to support the product portfolio for both internal and external customers. Support the development of marketing materials and sales assets.
- Identify and drive improvements and updates to existing product lines to meet market demand and compliance.
- Effective management of the life cycle of products within portfolio – including ideation, concept validation, supplier sourcing, specification (fit, form, function and pricing), technical support, evaluation and testing, launch, and post‑launch support.
- Identify and implement new product technologies to further drive Rinnai Australia’s reputation for market‑leading innovation, quality and excellence.
- Develop and lead new product recommendations through the development of sound business cases backed by empirical data and market intelligence.
Qualifications
- A proven background in product management.
- Experience with products of a technical nature.
- Ideally direct experience within the hot water category.
- The ability to analyse market trends and translate them into market and product opportunities.
- Customer‑first approach, with a passion for understanding audience needs and translating insights into action.
- Experience in negotiations and the development of key relationships with international stakeholders and/or global suppliers.
- Excellent internal stakeholder management, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and clearly communicate across all levels and functions (e.g. sales, marketing, manufacturing) of the business.
