About the Role

A recent Day Surgery Centre will open early 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in building this centre and delivering high‑quality acute surgical nursing care.

Responsibilities

- Deliver patient‑centred nursing care in line with recognised standards.
- Design and implement effective, efficient processes to ensure safety of patients and staff.
- Provide acute nursing care to patients in a day surgery environment.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse with day surgery, pre‑admission, endoscopy or recovery experience.
- Awareness of Australian National Standards and accreditation principles.
- Commitment to excellent clinical care.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.




- Adaptability to organisational and patient needs.
- Skill to develop procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of Meditech EMR systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
