We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join and lead our dedicated inpatient rehabilitation team in a permanent full-time Level 3 role at St George Hospital.

The successful candidate will lead the Occupational Therapy Inpatient Rehabilitation Team, consisting of three level 1-2 OTs, Allied Health Assistants, and a robust student education program. The rehabilitation unit includes a newly established Rehabilitation Cognitive Transition Unit, providing structured, patient-centred rehabilitation for individuals with mild to moderate acquired brain injuries. Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based assessment, therapy, and transition planning, supporting patients in their recovery of cognition, communication, and daily function.

The vision for the Occupational Therapy Department at St George Hospital is empowering you to live the life you want through creativity, collaboration and choice. We are a supportive department focused on person-centered, compassionate care. We have a strong focus on clinical and leadership skill development and strive to provide consistent high quality occupational therapy services across the campus. Our department consists of 38 occupational therapists, diversional therapists and support staff, and we work across a variety of inpatient, outpatient and community services. Clinically we provide services to aged care, acute surgical and medical, trauma, neurological, rehabilitation, palliative care, lymphoedema and hands patients. We offer a large student program and provide a variety of professional development opportunities. We support flexible work practices, protected time for non-clinical tasks (quality improvement, continuing professional education, leadership development) and enjoy a positive and supportive workplace culture.
