Darwin Greyhound Association Inc. (DGA) is the only registered greyhound race track in the Northern Territory, and regards itself as the industry leader in the trainer, racing and welfare of greyhounds.

Main duties and responsibilities

- Work with all industry participants for the benefit of the industry

- To work with NT Government Stewards and Operations Manager on race night

- To work with and have the support of the Operations Manager to have the club functioning well

- Maintain and keep a record of the club's assets to make sure everything is functioning as it should be. The tractor and lure are just a couple of examples





- To maintain all facilities to the standards expected for racing and trialling, as well as members' comforts on race night

- Keep our turf top-notch by replacing divots, watering it regularly, and assisting with system maintenance

- Use and care for turf tools and equipment, including mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws, handheld power tools, HP tractors, implements, and light trucks

- Work with specialist gear to maintain our track

- Pitch in for Greyhound Track maintenance, from grading to watering

- Help with general grounds and horticultural tasks

- Fulfill other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required

About You

- Proven track record of maintaining grounds, ideally at a Greyhound Track

- Know your way around turf equipment (tractors, mowers, etc.)

- Current manual driver’s licence

- Availability to do overtime for race preparation and meetings

- Thrive in a team and champion workplace safety

- Embrace flexibility and initiative
