Clickdeck is an Australian company revolutionising how decks are built. Our flagship ClickDeck® aluminium framing system is used by builders, architects, and DIY customers across Australia on residential and commercial projects.

We’re expanding our Ferntree Gully design team and are looking for a technically minded, energetic Design & Estimating Consultant to join our quick-paced, high-growth team.

About the Role

This role blends design, estimating, customer communication and internal sales.

You’ll interpret drawings, use beginner–intermediate CAD software (SketchUp or similar) to design deck framing layouts, prepare bills of materials and detailed quotes, and then work directly with customers to answer questions, recommend the best solution, and help them confidently move from design to order.

This is an office-based, computer-focused role and involves regular phone communication with builders, designers and homeowners. Success comes from balancing design accuracy and speed with strong customer service and sales through solution-based conversations.

Full product and system training is provided.

Key Activities You’ll Be Doing

- Designing deck framing layouts using CAD software (SketchUp or similar)

- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and sketches

- Preparing material take-offs and accurate quotations

- Handling incoming technical and sales enquiries via phone and email

- Engaging with customers to explain designs and recommend solutions





- Following up quotes and guiding customers toward confident purchasing decisions

- Managing project enquiries from initial concept through to order confirmation

- Entering data into our CRM (HubSpot) and invoicing system (Xero)

- Supporting builders, architects and homeowners with practical design advice

You’ll be measured on both your efficiency in providing timely quotes and your ability to help customers confidently proceed with their order.

You don’t need advanced CAD skills — beginner to intermediate CAD experience is acceptable. What matters most is that you:

- Are confident speaking with customers on the phone

You Will:

✅ Have at least beginner–intermediate CAD experience (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit or similar)
✅ Be comfortable working at a computer most of the day
✅ Speak and write English fluently (customer-facing role talking to builders & homeowners)
✅ Understand basic construction or building principles (product training provided)
✅ Be confident talking with builders, architects and DIY customers
✅ Have strong computer literacy and the ability to multitask
✅ Be local within ~30–40 minutes of Ferntree Gully
