About the role

The SSA are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Partnerships & Sponsorships to lead our revenue-generating efforts under our Towards 2030 Strategic Plan. This is a part-time role and sits within our Governance and Communications team and plays a key part in creating and shaping our Sponsorship and Partnerships Business Plan.
In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to maximise income across multiple streams including membership, sponsorship and events.
This position has the potential to transition to full-time linked to the growth of revenue opportunities with the SSA.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute a Sponsorship and Partnerships Business Plan (with the support of the Communications and Marketing team) to drive revenue to support meeting the SSA’s Towards 2030 strategic goals.
- Lead and maximise revenue opportunities across our portfolio including events, clubs and sports and potential hospitality opportunities.
- Establish and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with corporate, government, and community organisations.
- Identify and innovate new commercial opportunities that resonate with students, the campus community, and stakeholders
- Implement data-driven strategies, monitor performance metrics, and make informed decisions to optimise revenue potential.
What we're looking for
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- At least three years' experience in commercial or business development with a focus on managing revenue streams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify,
secure and manage successful sponsorship and partnership agreements
- Proven track record in building and maintaining long-term partnerships with corporate sponsors or institutional partners.
- Solid skills in financial management, including profit and loss accountability and revenue forecasting.
- Ability to drive revenue from events, sponsorships, and space activations, and leverage digital and physical spaces innovatively.
- Experience in working in a team environment to meet revenue and strategic targets.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
