With staff members commencing extended maternity leave in early 2026, we are seeking an experienced casual dental assistant to join our team. This role will primarily involve scheduled shifts as dental assistant with occasional duties in sterilisation and reception to support the team in our specialist dental practice.
Training to feel confident in completing dental assisting, sterilisation and reception duties within a specialist Endodontic practice is anticipated and will be happily provided.

About the role:
- The practice operates between 7:30am and 5:30pm and requires assistance on the specified days. Applicants must be available to work these days and hours.
- This is a clinical role with allocated shifts primarily providing chair-side assistance during dental procedures.
- The role may also include occasional duties in sterilisation and basic reception duties if required to support the team.
- The clinical role would suit a team player with a solid work ethic who is focused and demonstrates attention to detail. The role would suit an applicant who achieves job satisfaction through constantly striving to learn more about dental assisting.
- Previous experience working as a dental assistant would support the applicant in the requirements of the role (four-handed dental assisting).
- As the role is casual/part-time, strong communication skills and the ability to work together as part of a team is vital. We have a strong focus on finding the right person for our team and will happily provide any training required to assist our new staff member to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- The role requires a moderate level of computer literacy (experience with Apple computers an advantage).
