Are you passionate about sustainability, community wellbeing, and helping households reduce their energy use? We are seeking a Handyman/Curtain Installer (Energy Efficiency Installer) to join our Home Energy Team, delivering practical energy-saving solutions and education to low-income households across our community.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Home Energy Panel Program. This hands-on, community-focused role involves conducting home visits, providing energy efficiency assessments, installing energy-saving measures, and supporting participants to reduce their household energy usage.
This gives people in lower-income households practical ways to reduce their energy and water bills and helps make their homes more sustainable to cope with the effects of climate change.
You will work closely with community partners, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure timely service delivery while maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and client-centred approach.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have proven handyperson skills, a current ACT/NSW Driver’s Licence, and a Working with Vulnerable People card or willingness to obtain one to succeed.
You will bring your energy, drive, and high-level communication and interpersonal skills to work with vulnerable people dealing with the socio-economic contributors to generational and cyclical poverty.
Successful applicants must be willing to undertake a National Police Check upon commencement.

- Enterprise Agreement Classification Level 4 - $44.58 per hour plus 25% casual loading
