Kindergarten to Year 6 serving the Thirroul Parish with an enrolment of approximately 183 pupils.

Location: St Michael's Catholic Parish Primary School, Thirroul

A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 3 July 2026.

The role of the PE Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning workplace based on the principles of PB4L.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across the PD/H/PE Syllabus
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

- Experience teaching Physical Education (K-6)

- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
