Job Title: Customer Service Consultant (Mandarin Speaker)
Job Type: Full time ongoing (1 year temporary contract with possibility to be long-term)
Start date: Immediately
We are a family run business who have been in operation for 30 years. We specialise in buying and selling of Precious Metals and Numismatic coins via our retail store located in Sydney CBD, as well as via our online webstore. We have a small but highly experienced team who work collaboratively to service our vast range of clients including private individuals, entities, self-managed superfunds etc.
Location: Sydney, Australia (in-person fully on-site role)
This position involves engaging with customers in person, over the phone, and processing web orders related to the buying and selling of precious metals bullion. Additionally, the roles include supporting sales-related administrative tasks on a daily basis.
Outstanding communication skills, a strong motivation to learn, and a proactive attitude are key for success in this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a positive mindset.
Job Duties:
- Develop a competent understanding of this niche market and product.
- Customer Service, Counter transactions, Order collection, phone orders
- Emailing invoices
- Enter supplier invoices
- Prepare outstanding purchase list
- Chasing up overdue sales
- Perform KYC/AML Procedures
- Manage client ID/Compliance requirements
- Shippings inbound & outbound
- Auditing sales/shipping/supplier orders
- Attend to customer queries
- General Office Administration
- Any other ad hoc duties requested by management which may arise during work day .
Skills and experience
- High level/fluent Mandarin is a bonus but not essential
- Demonstrated experience within Customer Service with a reliable employment history.
- Ideally experience or knowledge in gold, silver as investment assets
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow set procedures and protocols.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to use common sense and initiative.
- Sound computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and processes quickly.
- Must have a clean Police Record.
