We are seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to join our team at Eastside Lutheran College to commence from Term 1 2026

We are seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to join our team at Eastside Lutheran College in Warrane. As the School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the journey.

What you'll be doing

- Safely operating the school's buses to transport students to and from school, following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies
- Performing regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the buses are in safe and roadworthy condition
- Communicating effectively with parents, students, and school staff to address any transportation-related inquiries or concerns
- Maintaining detailed records of bus usage, student attendance, and any incidents or accidents
- Maintain a clean and organised bus interior and exterior, conducting routine cleaning of seats, floors, and windows

What we're looking for

- A current Australian driver's licence with a valid heavy vehicle or passenger vehicle endorsement (medium-heavy rigid)
- Previous experience driving a school bus or similar commercial vehicle
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students and school staff
- Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions in various situations
- Commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students




- Willingness to undergo a police background check and have a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration
