About the role
This is a casual Qualified Chef position at the Burpengary Community Club, located in the heart of Burpengary, Queensland. As a Qualified Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our valued members and guests, while contributing to the overall success of our vibrant community club.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu
- Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Assisting with menu development and implementing new recipes as needed
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
- Ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked and maintaining inventory levels
- Adhering to the club's policies, procedures and budget guidelines
What we're looking for
- Formal culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Qualified Chef in a similar hospitality environment
- Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team-oriented kitchen
- Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
- Strong communication and customer service skills
