We have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our rapidly growing, fast-paced Huntingwood DC. This is a very busy DC with huge potential but needs a steady captain to handle the pressure of a growing business.

Work alongside our existing experienced Huntingwood Sales Manager, who is also committed to growing Tradezone though excellent customer service.

The Role:

- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse including leading a team of Shift Managers.

- Observe and analyse receiving, put away, picking and driver KPI’s and outcomes.

- Delegating workload according to work team specific requirements.

- Manage employee KPIs by measuring performance and providing regular individual feedback to staff via performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.

- Work autonomously, in a fast-paced warehouse environment whilst problem solving and guiding staff through the daily challenges, ensuring operational excellence.





- Lead a culture of zero harm through effective risk management and consultation with the team regarding all health and safety matters.

- Assist all warehouse Shift Managers to manage their respective workloads, assisting them to schedule and assign employees to relevant shifts, ensuring all receiving, put away and dispatch KPI’s are met. Following up on work results and outcomes and adjusting where required to ensure successful future outcomes.

- Lead the team in line with the values and leadership behaviours of our company.

- Build and maintain effective team relationships, implementing emotionally intelligent relationship building strategies, to ensure quality, culturally sustainable effective staff relationships.

- In collaboration with the Senior Management team, effectively manage and actively reduce absenteeism and staff churn rates.

- Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Ensure all Safety System Databases and Audits are kept up to date.

- Work in accordance with Tradezone’s best in class Mission and Vision.

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 5 years hands on experience in a similar management role is essential.

- Sound ability to utilise desktop-based programs including Microsoft Office.

- Demonstrated strong organisational and leadership skills including problem solving and decision making.

- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and effectively manage busy workloads.

- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to effectively communicate with Executive Management regarding senior, high level topics including KPIs and performance management processes.





- Proven ability to prioritise workload, meet established targets/objectives/deadlines and manage a varied workload in a busy environment.

- Proven ability to work with various teams at all management levels.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a broad range of business units.

- Display a high level of social emotional awareness, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders across the organization.

- Current and valid forklift Licence – LF essential.

- Hands on and positive attitude.

- Highly motivated with the ability to motivate staff.

- Ability to use own initiative and exercise judgement in matters for which there are no established procedures.

- Basic technical and IT based skills.
