What You’ll Be Doing
The Adult Team Leader position is responsible for leading, guiding and line managing a team of adult clinical dietitians within the Dietetics Department at Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals. The position is also responsible for supporting the Head of Department/Deputy Head of Department in managing and leading the Dietetics Department.
>This position is responsible for providing patient‑centred and high quality nutrition services to clients in Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, including applying high level clinical skills to patients as per clinical caseload/clinical specialty commensurate with other duties and will also involve student supervision and provide clinical supervision to Dietitians as appropriate.
The successful candidate will provide leadership in quality improvement, service development and evaluation, education and training, and support educational activities related to their discipline/clinical expertise.
You will also support the Head of Department/Deputy Head of Department with advice on clinical service development, practice and redesign in response to demand and client needs as per caseload/clinical specialty, and advocates across the local health district.

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.
Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged‑care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.
The hospitals share a close‑knit, community‑focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi‑million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.
Together, these sister hospitals ensure that the diverse needs of the community are met with excellence and innovation in healthcare.
Qualifications
- Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognised by Dietitians Australia.
- Extensive clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex adult case load.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communications skills, including group education, advocacy and negotiating skills; and excellent computer skills including a food service/management system eg CBORD.
- Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement activities for service development.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff performance.
- Demonstrated skills and experiences in conflict and complaint management.
