About Us:
(YDST) Your Disability Support Team is a new provider of disability support services in Western Australia. We are committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team to support a participant in the Walliston area.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a PART TIME & Casual Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality support to a participant in Walliston WA. The successful candidates will work closely with our client to assist them with daily living activities, social interactions, and community participation.
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the participant with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Support clients with social interactions, community participation, and recreational activities
* Assist the participant in Volunteering and paid employment positions
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of participant support
* Work collaboratively with other support workers and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
* 1 year of experience in disability support or a related field
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* NDIS Screening Clearance
* Police Clearance
* Valid W.A driver's license
* Reliable transportation & comprehensive car insurance
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Fluent English)
* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays (if required)
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and mental health conditions
* Knowledge of disability support principles and practices
* Experience with person-centered planning and support
