Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for stability and variety in your work? We are seeking a full-time Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team and keep our specialized fleet running smoothly. If you live within an hour's drive of our Gateshead depot, and you're after a role where you can get on with the job, we'd like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, service, and repair heavy vehicles and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Work both independently and as part of a supportive workshop team
What We’re Looking For:
· White Card is essential (or willingness to obtain)
- Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
- Proven experience with trucks, trailers, or heavy plant equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure
- MR or HR licence required
