We are looking for specialists with expertise in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, or both.
These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a high-quality, patient-centred service within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high level clinical care and leadership in the areas of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, or combined Obstetrics and GynaecologyParticipate in the on-call roster, ensuring 24/7 coverage for acute obstetric and gynaecological servicesSupervise and support junior medical staff and actively participate in teaching and research activitiesEngage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomesCollaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary careEssential CriteriaFellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and GynaecologistsRegistration (or ability for registration) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyExtensive expertise in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, or both, with a strong clinical background in managing complex casesCommitment to teaching, research and ongoing professional developmentDemonstrated ability to work within a team and provide leadership in a multidisciplinary settingWhat We Can Offer YouThis is an opportunity to work for one of the largest local health districts in NSW which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas.

Expedited Specialist PathwaysAre you an International Medical Graduate (IMG) seeking specialist registration in Australia?
The Expedited Specialist Pathway offers a streamlined route for eligible doctors to gain recognition and start practicing sooner.
The Expedited Specialist Pathway is currently available for eligible doctors in the specialties of General Practice, Anaesthesia, Psychiatry, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with plans for expansion into other specialties.
To be eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway, specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) must hold a specialist qualification on the Medical Board's Expedited Specialist Pathway accepted qualifications list.
Accepted specialists can start practicing when the Medical Board has granted you specialist registration and approved your supervised position, with a period of six (6) months supervised practice being completed.
