Job Description :
We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join ourteam. As a Practice Nurse at Better Health South Tamworth, you will play a pivotal role in deliveringhigh-quality care and support to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, Creating Care plans and health screenings.Inclusive of GPMP, TCA, 715 and 75+ health assessments.
- Assisting medical practitioners during consultations and procedures.
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Providing patient education on various health conditions, medications, and lifestylemodifications.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
- Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive andcoordinated care.
- Responsibilities include managing and ordering supplies, including immunisations andmedical supplies.
- Supervising and working closely with an Enrolled Nurse (EN), supporting GPs and alliedhealth professionals in their roles. Collaborating with administration and management toensure efficient clinic operations and delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements :
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Candidates must be willing to supervise or be supervised in person and remotely.
- Experience in general practice and with Best Practice software is advantage but notessential. Additionally, an understanding of Medicare and Medicare billing is an advantage.
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently as well ascollaboratively within a team.
- Possession of an immunisation certificate, qualifications in women's health and or otherrelevant qualifications are also considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in primary healthcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport withpatients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
