Isaac Regional Council is seeking a skilled Plumber to undertake plumbing duties associated with the construction, installation, and maintenance of Council’s residential buildings, administration facilities, and other relevant infrastructure. This full-time role is integral to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Council assets while delivering high-quality service to the community.
As the Plumber – Commercial, you will be responsible for general plumbing maintenance, including repairs to taps, toilets, drainage systems, and gas fittings within the residential sector. You will assess and diagnose plumbing issues, provide accurate quotes for rectifications, and carry out installations and repairs of hot water systems and heating units. The role also involves ensuring efficient use of resources and conducting all business transactions in a professional and ethical manner.
The Ideal Candidate:
- General plumbing maintenance e.g. leaking tap repairs, leaking toilets, drainage and gas fitting in the residential sector
- Assessing and diagnosing plumbing issues and providing quotes on rectifications
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, domestic and/or Local Government
- Relevant Plumber Trade Qualifications
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Construction White Card
If you are successful in this position,
we will give you:
- Salary $68,967.43 – $88,081.50 per annum + Allowances, including:
> Construction Workers Allowance.
> Locality Allowance.
> Tool Allowance.
> Subsidised Council Housing.
> Tool of Trade Vehicle.
- Nominally 76 hours per fortnight
- Permanent Full time position
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% leave loading
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
