Our client is a well-established, family-owned construction company with over 40 years of experience delivering end-to-end design to construct projects. Providing solutions for the construction of food processing facilities, factories, cold stores, commercial developments, plus many more!
They are seeking a passionate and personable Health and Safety Manager to join their team.

Purpose:
The Health and Safety Manager will report to the General Manager and work alongside Site Managers and the Quality team to deliver top-notch builds safely. Spending time in the office as well as in office to conduct inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, investigate incidents or near misses and provide monthly safety reports.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all safety operations, ensuring compliance with site and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and share advice or insights with the internal team, contractors, and clients.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and develop preventative actions.
- Work with the Quality team to determine best practices.
- Visit sites and liaise with Site Managers and other project teams.
- Undertake site audits and inspections to evaluate HSE performance and corrective actions.
- Manage any injuries through the WorkCover process and develop return-to-work plans.
- Liaise with third parties (Unions, Workplace Health & Safety QLD) if required.




- Keep track of required training and certificates.
- Provide monthly reports to the Management team.
- Keep the reporting system (hammertech) up to date.

Requirements:

- Minimum of five years of experience in a Health and Safety position, ideally management.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).
- Diploma of Work Health and Safety (beneficial).
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Proven ability to implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Strong attention to detail for investigations and RCA.
- Comfortable conversing and presenting to all levels of management and Clients.
