WALLABY STORAGE is one of Melbourne’s fastest growing independent self-storage operators. Our modern, state of the art facilities in both Moorabbin and Abbotsford offer exceptionally high standards of customer service and a friendly work environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to grow our existing team by welcoming a flexible individual who will divide their time between our two modern facilities in Moorabbin and Abbotsford. You will be rostered depending on the needs of each facility and must be comfortable with a flexible schedule that may include:-
- Saturdays 10.00am - 7.00 pm in Moorabbin
- Monday from 10.00 am - 7.00 pm in Abbotsford
- Three other full days in either facility.
The role offers autonomy and responsibility to someone who is adaptable, enjoys a changing environment and is happy to travel to either location. You will enjoy exposure to various aspects of the business including customer service, sales, admin support and facility maintenance with all the opportunities for professional growth that these activities offer. At all times you will be backed up by dedicated, ongoing and experienced management support.
Previous self-storage experience will be very highly regarded, as will proven skills in sales or business development.
This role is ideally suited to a local resident who:-
- lives within easy commuting distance of both locations (most likely in the Bayside and Southeastern suburbs)
- has a genuine passion for providing memorable customer service and support
- takes ownership and shows initiative
- enjoys a mix of hands-on operational and customer-facing tasks
- is physically fit, enthusiastic, goal orientated and results-driven
- displays solid attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- can demonstrate proven computer and literacy skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- has strong communication skills with the ability to solve problems, resolve conflict and build lasting customer relationships.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
This is an interesting and diverse full time role that - as outlined above - requires you to work Saturdays and Mondays plus three other days. Drawing on your excellent customer service, admin and sales skills you will:-
- handle enquiries with a smile from existing and new customers, and provide excellent customer service.
- maintain accurate customer and inventory records in our systems
- manage monthly rental collection and overdue accounts in line with procedures
- ensure the facility is clean, safe and well-presented at all times.
- be the face of the business by delivering friendly, confident customer care.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role you will need a range of practical skills and experience including:-
- prior experience in a retail or customer-facing industry where customer satisfaction is paramount (prior self-storage experience will be highly regarded)
- fast accurate typing
- flawless written and spoken English
- a clear, confident telephone manner
- strong admin and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- experience in (or an aptitude to learn/use/update) our CRM software.
- A valid driver’s licence
