Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive Data Analyst with a strong business and operations focus to join our team in Jandakot, WA. This role involves adopting a ground-up approach to data analysis, beginning with a comprehensive understanding of our business operations to identify limitations and opportunities. You will work in a flexible and fast-paced environment, collaborating with various departments to gather insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. We are open to considering recent graduates who demonstrate the right skills and fit for our team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyse data from various business and operational systems to provide actionable insights.

- Reporting and Visualisation: Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards using Power BI to monitor key performance indicators.

- SQL Querying: Write efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for comprehensive analysis.

- Predictive Modelling: Develop predictive models and conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business and operations teams to define requirements and translate them into actionable data insights.

- Strategic Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to enhance business operations and performance.

- Process Improvement:



Continuously improve processes and systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a strong business and operations focus. We are also open to considering recent graduates who demonstrate the right skills and fit for our team.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation tasks.

- Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying and analysing large datasets.

- Expertise in Power BI for creating dashboards and data visualisation.

- Analytical Skills: Robust analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex business problems using data.

- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Adaptability: Flexibility in adopting and learning different systems and technologies to meet evolving business needs.

Desirable Qualifications:

- Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling.

- Familiarity with other data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau).

- Knowledge of business operations and supply chain management.
