The Role
The IKON Waste team are looking for a night shift Hook Truck Driver working Wed - Sun – 10pm – 6am. There is flexibility with the shift time and can be discussed with the hiring manager. The role may require weekend work depending on business needs.
The Hook Truck Driver, will be responsible for providing timely waste collection services, working to agreed schedules to deliver a high-quality standard of work whilst acting as a Customer Service Ambassador for our clients.
Responsibilities Include
- Safely operating a vehicle across Melbourne
- Provide an effective essential service in collecting,
carrying and disposing of a range of waste and recyclable materials
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment
- Attend to basic maintenance of vehicles
- Complete pre and post vehicle checks
- Maintain a clean and safe operating vehicle
- Day-to-day documentation maintained in an accurate and timely manner
The Candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Current HR Licence
- Experience with Hooklift and/or Front Lift preferred
- Previous driving experience preferably within the waste industry
- Solid commitment to safety
- Must be flexible with start and finish times when required
- Excellent work ethic and a team player
- All successful applicants will be required to undergo a full medical check and police check.
