SKS Technologies is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Service Technician to join our Melbourne service team. This role is ideal for a proactive technician with strong troubleshooting skills who is looking for genuine career development and long-term growth within a dynamic, leading-edge organisation.

We are particularly interested in candidates with commercial AV experience across environments such as government projects, corporate offices, hospitals, prisons, and other complex commercial sites.

About the Role

This is a hands-on technical role where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality AV service and support across various commercial environments. In this position, you will:

• Provide onsite service, fault identification, and advanced technical diagnosis

• Configure, evaluate, upgrade, repair, test, and troubleshoot AV equipment

• Maintain detailed documentation, logs, and complete preventative maintenance tasks

• Support and optimise technology systems in meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and shared environments

• Work confidently from technical specifications, drawings, and system schematics

• Represent SKS Technologies professionally on client sites, often in high-security or sensitive environments

About You

You will bring:

• A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills

• A systematic and thorough approach to fault-finding and problem-solving

• Strong knowledge of a wide range of AV systems and technologies

• Relevant industry certifications and a proven track record in AV service support

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the AV industry, ideally within commercial or enterprise settings

• Experience working on or servicing government, corporate, healthcare, correctional, or similar commercial projects

• Valid driver’s licence

• Working With Children Check

• Ability to pass a Police Check

Preferred (Not Essential):

• Government and/or Defence clearances

• Skills in networking, DSP, or system commissioning

• Certifications such as Crestron Digital Media, Extron AV, Biamp Tesira, Q-Sys Level 1
