Casual Laboratory Analyst Opportunity - Immediate Start Available

As a Laboratory Analyst, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the quality and safety of agricultural products, fuels, and foodstuffs.

This is a casual position, expected to run for 3 to 6 months—perfect for someone seeking a summer placement opportunity.

About the Role

As a Laboratory Analyst, you'll work alongside experienced scientists and technicians, and hold responsibilities that span all aspects of the Laboratory, from sample preparation to wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, with an emphasis on quality outcomes:

Sample Receipt & Preparation

- Receive samples and associated paperwork.

- Prepare samples (weighing, splitting, milling, packing, packaging, and distribution).

Analytical Duties

- Perform analysis using standard and instrumental methods.

- Undertake training for new or updated procedures.

Quality System Duties

- Support the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO Standards.

- Ensure that data is up to date, correct and secure. This relates to CRM, LIMS, and Job/BSM Log.

Administrative Duties

- Log current jobs and issue sample/inspection requests.

- Communicate professionally to ensure clarity.

- Respond to enquiries on job status and technical matters.

General Laboratory Duties

- Cleaning and housekeeping.

- Wash glassware

- Prepare chemicals/solutions.

- Data entry and associated paperwork.

- Collaborate with colleagues to meet customer needs

About You

- Student or Recent graduate in chemistry (or related field of study).

- Degree qualification must be in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related to be considered for this position.

- Strong foundation in analytical chemistry.

- Australian work rights are mandatory for this position.

- Self-driven, and proactive individual that has curiosity and enthusiasm for laboratory work.

- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team to provide consistent, successful outcomes.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills for report writing and administration.

- Ability to manage workload by prioritising and being well organised.





- Strong customer service skills, with excellent attention to detail

- Should have appropriate computer skills and be able to work in Microsoft Word and Excel as a minimum. Willingness to learn laboratory software.

- Experience in analysis of agri products will be favoured.

We offer our customers flexible,



market-driven laboratory services that analyse a wide range of products in the field of foodstuffs, animal feed, compound feed and (bio) fuels. We are highly experienced in chemical analysis and microbiological analysis.
