The Australian Technology and Agricultural College (ATAC) is inviting applications from enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teachers to join our team from mid-January 2026.

We are seeking passionate educators who are committed to supporting young people in an alternative learning environment, while delivering quality curriculum aligned with QCE and QCAA requirements.

Teaching Areas – Years 10–12

We are currently recruiting teachers in the following subject areas:

· English

· Mathematics

· Science

· History

· HPE

· VET – Certificate II in Hospitality

About ATAC

The Australian Technology and Agricultural College (ATAC) is a small, independent Year 10–12 school that provides a supportive, flexible learning environment. We blend academic learning with real-world, industry-relevant experiences.

Our programs enable students to:

· Commence a trade pathway

· Gain meaningful work experience towards apprenticeships

· Complete their QCE

· Undertake Certificate II courses

· Work towards a trade qualification

We recognise that learning is not confined to the classroom and value hands-on, practical experiences that prepare students for life beyond school.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.





· Integrate academic knowledge with practical, real-world experiences to prepare students for the workforce and life beyond school.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum delivery meets QCAA and Australian Curriculum requirements.

· Monitor and evaluate student progress and complete required reporting each term.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an educator who believes every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed in their education.

The successful candidate will:

· Hold a relevant teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).

· Have experience with, or a strong interest in, the Queensland Curriculum and be enthusiastic about teaching in a flexible, alternative learning environment.

· Demonstrate the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
