Roster: Initial 3-month casual duration with the potential to move to permanent direct with the client | Working Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.30pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sorting recyclables from conveyor line - rapid moving conveyor, repetitive work, noisy and dusty environment
- Cleaning of working areas and outside
- Audit waste as required by Local Council Representatives and clients, and provide accurate reporting as required on time to a high standard
- Perform maintenance and/or safety checks on equipment as required
- Review existing procedures on a regular basis, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety
- Operating Forklift or Loader
Skills and Experience:
- Forklift & Loader Licence
- Experience in bailing or previous waste experience
- Good work ethic
- Ability to complete repetitive,
mundane tasks - working on a sorting line for long periods of time can make you feel seasick
- Commitment to safety & Self-motivated
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with high attention to detail
