About the Role
As a Vehicle Spray Painting Apprentice, you’ll learn the skills and techniques to deliver high-quality paint finishes on a range of heavy vehicle and trailer components. You’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and be supported to achieve your qualification.
Trade qualification: Certificate III Automotive Refinishing Technology
Duration: Full time, four year apprenticeship, combining on the job training and TAFE block release training
Location: Bruce Rock, WA 6418
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing vehicle surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and masking
• Learning accurate paint mixing ratios and colour matching techniques
• Applying primers, topcoats, and clear finishes to vehicle surfaces
• Inspecting and rectifying surface defects to ensure premium quality
• Collaborating with experienced painters to meet production timelines
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures
About You
• A strong work ethic, initiative, and willingness to learn
• A genuine interest in developing a career within the trade area
• Reliable transport to Bruce Rock WA 6418 and current driver’s licence is desirable
• Valid forklift ticket or willingness to obtain one
• Basic to intermediate computer literacy
