We're seeking a capable and motivated Pub Licensee to take ownership of a well-established venue in the Newcastle/Hunter region. This is a hands-on role suited to a confident operator with strong people leadership, solid operational experience and the ability to drive venue performance, culture and compliance.

We also welcome applications from experienced 2ICs or Assistant Managers who are ready to step up and run their own venue.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all venue operations including bar, bistro, gaming, functions and service standards

- Ensure strict compliance with all licensing, RSA/RCG/ARCG, WHS and legislative requirements

- Lead, train and mentor staff to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused team

- Manage rosters, payroll approval, stock control and ordering

- Drive venue performance through cost control, effective rostering and strategic decision-making

- Handle escalated patron interactions professionally and uphold venue safety

- Maintain robust relationships with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders

- Implement promotions, events and in-house marketing initiatives in line with business goals

- Ensure the venue consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience

What We're Looking For

- Current ARCG, RCG & RSA (mandatory)

- Previous experience as a Licensee, Venue Manager, or strong 2IC ready to step up





- Demonstrated leadership ability in high-volume pubs or hospitality venues

- Solid knowledge of gaming compliance and hospitality legislation

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

- Excellent communication, team-building and customer service skills

- A hands-on operator with a passion for delivering results
