Brightside Recruitment has partnered with a leading community-based, not-for-profit organisation delivering specialist support for people impacted by violence
This organisation provides trauma-informed services that include crisis response, counselling and therapy, early intervention, legal and practical assistance, and advocacy for victims of crime.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Team Manager to provide clinical leadership, governance, and oversight across the organisation’s Clinical and Recovery Services.
This pivotal leadership position ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, evidence-based care, while supporting and developing a multidisciplinary team of skilled clinicians. You will also maintain a small clinical caseload to stay connected to front-line practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide clinical governance and leadership to ensure the delivery of best-practice, trauma-informed care
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and care planning
- Oversee triage processes, risk management, and clinical decision-making
- Deliver clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development for staff
- Promote cultural safety, staff wellbeing, and vicarious trauma awareness
- Coordinate integrated care across internal services and external partners
- Drive quality improvement, compliance,



and clinical governance initiatives
- Contribute to service planning, innovation, and system improvement
- Represent the organisation at relevant networks and forums

About You

You are an experienced and compassionate clinical leader with a robust understanding of trauma-informed care and service integration. You bring deep clinical expertise, a commitment to staff development, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with integrity and purpose.

Key Criteria :

- Current, unrestricted registration with AHPRA or AASW in a relevant discipline
(Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years post-registration clinical experience in trauma and/or mental health
- Minimum 2 years in team leadership, supervision, or management roles
- Proven experience in complex trauma, family violence, or sexual assault presentations
- Strong capability in risk assessment, clinical decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Advanced competency in evidence-based trauma therapies (e.g., TF-CBT, EMDR, Schema, Narrative Therapy)
- Excellent communication, supervision, and stakeholder engagement skills.
