You will bring clarity, confidence and connection — ensuring your people are supported to perform at their best while driving consistency, efficiency and safety across our operations.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead the Northern Overhead Distribution Group to safely and efficiently deliver Tas Networks' Program of Work. You will build a high-performing, safety-focused team, developing leadership capability and fostering collaboration across the state.
You will oversee safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery of all work programs, driving performance in productivity, quality and utilisation. With a focus on continuous improvement and transformation, you will champion change that delivers better outcomes for customers and Tas Networks alike.
You will provide calm, decisive leadership during network faults and emergencies, and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, industry bodies and community representatives to ensure consistent, reliable delivery across Northern Tasmania.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business or a related discipline — or extensive leadership experience in a similar operational role.
- Strong leadership experience within the power industry or other complex, high-risk operational environments.
- Demonstrated success developing high-performing teams and future leaders.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- A track record of driving safety leadership, business improvement and change.
- Confidence in managing major fault restorations and significant incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to engage at all levels with honesty, clarity and credibility.
- A customer-first mindset that reflects Tas Networks' commitment to the Energy Charter.
