Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is looking for a Health & Wellbeing Advisor to join our team and make a real impact across our North Queensland operations. You’ll be working with great people, meaningful cases, and an organisation that values your ideas, your voice, and your passion for supporting others.
What You’ll Be Doing
Think of this role as part coach, part coordinator, and part wellbeing champion. Each day is different, but you’ll be:
- Supporting employees through injury management and return-to-work plans
- Working closely with leaders, treating practitioners, and teams to guide safe, sustainable return-to work outcomes
- Joining incident investigation teams to help understand causes and how we can keep improving
- Getting involved in health and wellbeing initiatives that build resilience and support a great workplace culture
- Keeping clear, accurate case notes that help us stay organised and consistent
- Helping embed learnings, improvements, and positive change across our sites
You’ll report to and be supported by our Health Management Superintendent, who provides guidance while welcoming your ideas, insights, and contributions.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- You get to make a real difference to people’s health, recovery, and wellbeing
- You’ll work across an interesting mix of sites and teams throughout the Whitsunday region
- You’ll be part of a down-to-earth, cooperative, and supportive Safety team
- You’ll have the chance to contribute to meaningful health, wellbeing, and safety initiatives
- And there’s plenty of room to grow your skills and career
Location
This role is based in North Queensland’s stunning Whitsunday region, home to island escapes, turquoise water, sunshine, and a coastal lifestyle most people only dream about. Not a bad place to build your career!
What You Bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re ideally looking for someone with:
- A background in allied health or experience as a Return-to-Work Coordinator
- An accredited (or eligible) Return-to-Work Coordinator qualification
- Experience in case management or injury management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (experience with SAP or Share Point is a bonus)
More than anything, we’re looking for someone who cares about people and brings a calm, confident, and solutions-focused approach.
Ready to Apply?
If you’re passionate about supporting people, committed to positive outcomes, and looking for a role that genuinely makes a difference, this is your opportunity.
