Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or Fitter for mining component and machine rebuilds for a Leading workshop. A full-time, permanent role within a growing organization. Monday to Friday,

- Requires: At least 3 years of experience servicing large-scale earthmoving or mining equipment.
- Salary guide : $40 - $50 per hour + overtime, depending on experience.
- Newcastle Region, New South Wales
- Sponsorship available for the right candidate with the required experience.

Your normal day will involve :

- Servicing, repairing, and rebuilding a wide range of heavy-duty mining and construction equipment following OEM guidelines.
- Fault-finding and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, either independently or in consultation with the team to determine the best repair methods.
- Accurately processing returns of unused or irreparable materials
- Only day shifts in the workshop

You will need :





- Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience with heavy machinery, ideally within the mining industry.
- Relevant Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic works.
- Experience in servicing, diagnosing, and fault identification in large-scale earthmoving equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system drawings and schematics.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current Australian driver’s license.
- Permanent residency in Australia.
- Advantageous : CAT dealer training is highly regarded.
