Position Objective
A Painter applies attention to detail to improve the texture and appearance of surfaces. Painting interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of tools to paint surfaces, this includes various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers and sealers. They are responsible for completing minor
repairs and selecting the correct paints and primers. Protecting all nearby surfaces and building materials before and during every painting job.

Position Requirements (Qualifications, Skills and Experience)
 Minimum 2 years of industrial or automotive painting
 Certificate III in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent)
 Current Construction White Card
 Any additional tickets are also beneficial

Skills & Experience:
 Demonstrated ability to complete projects on-time and to a high standard
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills
 Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
 Reliable transportation

Key Performance Responsibilities
 Paint the interiors and exteriors of buildings as required
 Organise all painting works.
 Supervision of painting related labour.
 Liasing with procurement to order correct paint and painting supplies.
 Ensure painting is done within allocated budget.




 Track labour hours per project.
 Ensure QA process is implemented, and all records kept up to date.
 Operate forklift or crane if / as required.
 Open/close factory if required.
 Prepare surfaces and mix paints for different needs, as per design plans
 Work with other trades, such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers
 Protect all nearby surfaces and building materials before and during every painting job
 Ensure projects are completed in an productive, timely manner
 Follow all HSEQ policies and procedures at all times
 Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within individual work areas
 Perform non-trade tasks incidental to work as required
 Understand and apply quality control techniques
 Carry out tasks from plans, sketches and drawings in conjunction with appropriate written or
verbal instructions
 Understand and undertake quality control/assurance procedures
 Other tasks as directed in accordance with skills and training.
